Jason Williams would like to help the Kings…

NBA – While the Sacramento franchise has not played in the playoffs since 2006, its former point guard is playing him.

It’s been more than ten years since Jason Williams, aka “White Chocolate”, retired from the floor. As he had already hinted two years ago via a tweet in response to a fan account of Sacramento, the former point guard would see himself back in the NBA to join the staff of a franchise.

Based in Orlando, Jason Williams has taken up golf to fill his free time. But the days are still long and the former showman said he was ready to return to the basketball halls, why not by integrating the staff of Sacramento, his first NBA franchise (1998-2001) where he still enjoys a nice popularity.

“It’s something that resonates with me. I’d love to help Sacramento the way they helped me, and I’d love it all. I would love to be a part of the franchise in some way,” he said. “I love basketball so much. I feel like these young guys coming into the league need guidance from veterans who have been there before. If that happens in Sacramento, that would be great.”

Sacramento has made a specialty of picking among its former glories to compose its staff or its management, from Doug Christie to Bobby Jackson recently through Vlade Divac or Peja Stojakovic.

If Jason Williams obviously gives priority to the Kings, he does not close any door, he who also played for the Grizzlies (2001-2005 and in 2011 before his retirement), the Heat (2005-2008) and the Magic (2009-2011).

“I’m bored to death in my life. I wish I had something to do. I play a lot of golf, but it’s a tough sport, sometimes frustrating. I would love to be part of a franchise and if it was Sacramento, that would be really great,” he added.
