2023 NBA Draft : Victor Wembanyama will miss Draft Combine

NBA – Except for Victor Wembanyama and Bilal Coulibaly, still committed to Boulogne-Levallois, all the biggest prospects available will be present for the annual meeting that will be held in Chicago from May 15 to 21.

Victor WembanyamaThe list of the 78 participants in the next Draft Combine was released Tuesday night, the opportunity to ensure that all the biggest prospects will be part of this first step that takes place from May 15 to 21 in Chicago. This is the wish of the NBA, which will require, from 2024, that all players registered in the draft participate in this meeting.

Apart from the players still in the competition like the French Nadir Hifi (Le Portel), Bilal Coulibaly and of course Victor Wembanyama, we find Scoot Henderson (Ignite), who should be the second choice of the next draft behind “Wemby”, but also Brandon Miller (Alabama), the brothers Amen and Ausar Thompson (Overtime Elite), Jarace Walker (Houston) or Cam Whitmore (Villanova).

The lottery is scheduled for May 16

Two Frenchmen have validated their place, Sidy Cissoko (Ignite) and Rayan Rupert, who finished his season with the New Zealand Breakers in the final of the NBL Playoffs. Also in attendance are Belgian prospect Toumani Camara (Dayton), Senegalese Mouhamed Gueye (Washington State) and Malian Adama Sanogo, NCAA champion with Connecticut.

As a reminder, the traditional “lottery” that will determine the 60 draft picks will also take place in Chicago on May 16. It is at this time that we will discover the name of the team that will get the first pick for the 2023 Draft scheduled for June 22, and therefore who should welcome Victor Wembanyama next season.
