2023 NBA Draft : Rayan Rupert Is Chasing NBA

NBA – Even if he doesn’t announce his entry in the Draft yet, the Frenchman has his eyes set on the League.

Beaten in the NBL finals by the Sydney Kings, Rayan Rupert finished his season in Australia, with his team the New Zealand Breakers. The Frenchman can now look to the future and many are now waiting for him in the NBA.

But the guard, observed by Sean Marks, the GM of the Nets, during the season, has not yet made his decision for the 2023 Draft. Nevertheless, the little brother of Iliana is thinking about the American league.

“The NBA has always been a goal,” he confirms, invited by the NBA Extra show. “But it does not stop at the Draft, which is only a small part. The hardest part is afterwards. Being able to compete against the best players in the world, who I’ve watched on TV since I was a kid, is a dream for any basketball player. I think I’m ready even if, like any young player, I still have to improve.

The son of the late Thierry Rupert also explained that he wanted to become a professional first and foremost, so he turned down college offers in the United States. The NCAA was never “a career path” for him.

He will soon fly to Dallas to work and make his decision, along with his agents. “It’s going to come with age, but I need to develop physically and I need to improve my shot,” he says. “My shooting has improved this year, but I’m still a little inconsistent. I want to become a complete player.”
