Welcome to the Air 200E, Jordan Brand’s new Air Max model

In 1977, Nike decided to incorporate the “Air” technology in its shoes, a brand new cushioning system that would change the fate of the brand then on the verge of bankruptcy.

Forty-five years later, the air bubble invented by an aeronautical engineer to improve the protective layer of astronauts’ helmets remains a benchmark. Jordan Brand continues that legacy today by unveiling its new Air Max model, the “Jordan Air 200E.

The first shots presented in five colorways by the Jumpman brand are reminiscent of the recent “Jordan Point Lane”, with a sole with the Air Max device of course, and an upper dressed in various textiles.

On the “Jordan Air 200E”, the base of the mesh upper is covered with nubuck panels. A “Jumpman” stands out on one side of the heel, while the one on the tongue is covered by a strip that reads “23ENGINEERED”. No release date or price yet, but plenty of shots available.
